Sometimes you need inspirational writing music that isn’t distracting you with words, pulling your mind out of the scene because it’s now obsessing with whether or not it heard that lyric right. I often listen to instrumental soundtracks and songs when I’m editing or proofreading, too, to maximize my concentration and funnel out other distracting noises.
For this playlist, I wanted to give you a smattering of tracks not just from soundtracks, but from artists that included lovely instrumental songs in their albums. These songs have truly never gotten old for me, and I routinely listen to them at work and at home, whether I’m reading someone else’s work or trying to focus on my own.
